Hotel rooms versus apartments
Staying in a private rental vacation apartment in Norway may cut your holiday cost. Often it is also possible to accommodate more people in an apartment then in a double room in a hotel. Most apartments are also more cosy then A4 hotel rooms. Another huge advantage renting an apartment is that you may prepare your own food and save money on expensive restaurant food.
Prices
Typical hotel rooms have starting prices at NOK 900 for a single room, apartments starts at NOK 500,- You save even more if you’re more people in the apartment, but not so much if you’re two persons in a “boring” hotel room.

The rate is for short term rental. We use NOK 8 equals €1.

Just FYI – I stayed at the Kroken Apartment two weeks ago – it was fabulous! It was in the perfect location, the hostess was so nice and basically left us to our own devices, and we saved a TON of money by being able to cook for ourselves. And the apartment is gorgeous!
